Who Am I?
My name is Rupinder Birdi (Rupy) and I've been in the hair and beauty industry for 14+ years.
I first attended school and began practicing back in India but after a few years I had to take a short break when I moved to Canada and started a family.
As my kids grew older I wanted to get back into my old passion and that is when I started attending Vancouver Community College for their Hair Design Program.
That was in 2012, since then I've got my "Red Seal" in Cosmetology and completed other programs like:
- Vancouver Community College's Makeup Artistry Program
- Surrey Community College's Nail Technology Program
- Pink Orchid Studio's Masters Of Makeup Certificate Program

Private in-house studio
We have built our home based salon in our home's private suite. This provides you with an experience that is even more private AND comfortable then most if not all public salons.
Separate Entrance
You don't have to worry about coming through a shared entrance with my house to access our salon. We have a separate entrance for all our customers to use.
Free Street Parking
The City of Vancouver has set parking meters up and down Fraser Street which may lead to you spending an addition 10-20% when visiting a salon on Fraser... Luckily for you our street has free parking. (It's also right near the 59th bus stop)

Does your salon provide a professional environment/service similar to a commercial salon?
Definitely! I pride myself on delivering exceptional services using top-quality products and personalized care that rivals any experience you'd find at a traditional salon.
Will there be children or other family members present during my salon service?
No. Our In-house studio is completely private.
Where can I park when I arrive for my appointment?
Our street has free parking, feel free to park anywhere on our block. We are also conviently located right near the 59th bus stop.
What kind of privacy can I expect during my appointment?
Our In-house studio is completely private. It is built inside a private suite which means there is a sperate entrance from the back side of the house and on the inside it is separated from the rest of the house by another door.
Do you travel to clients for service?
Yes, but only for makeup & hair services.
Do you allow walk-ins?
No, we only take customers by appointment. However, we can often accommodate last minute appointments due to a flexible schedule.
